Tariff Impact Visualization and Analysis

About

This workflow quantifies and visualizes the business impact of changing tariff policies across global trade routes and product categories.

We begin by ingesting tariff schedules, historical trade data, and customs codes from public and proprietary sources. These datasets are then cleaned, normalized, and joined based on shared dimensions such as country of origin, HS codes, and trade value.

Next, we apply scenario modeling to simulate how proposed or enacted tariff changes affect import/export costs, profit margins, and supply chain exposure. These simulations are dynamically parameterized, allowing analysts to test assumptions such as volume shifts or pricing adjustments.

The results are visualized using interactive dashboards that highlight:

Cost deltas per product, category, or geography

At-risk trade lanes

Historical vs. projected impact timelines

This end-to-end workflow enables data-driven decision-making for sourcing, pricing, and risk mitigation, helping teams act with confidence in a volatile trade landscape.
