Esophageal-Cancer-Clinical-Decision-Support
About
A data-driven decision support tool for esophageal cancer management, built on the SEER 18 registry (18,000+ records). This project transforms raw medical registry data into a personalized risk-assessment engine, enabling patients and clinical teams to benchmark outcomes by stage, histology, and treatment intensity.
Key Features:
Interactive Patient Wizard: A step-by-step navigation flow that guides users through profiling, risk assessment, and treatment pathways.
Clinical Stratification Engine: An engineered risk-scoring model (weighted by Stage, Treatment, Age, and Year) that stratifies patient outcomes, identifying a significant 73-percentage point survival delta between risk tiers.
Bias-Aware Analysis: Uses a systems-thinking approach to decouple patient selection bias (e.g., Surgery-only fitness) from treatment efficacy, providing a more realistic view of clinical outcomes.
Design System: Professional-grade UI/UX utilizing custom design systems and Plotly for real-time survival distribution benchmarking.
