Workflow Maturity Index (WMI)
About
Workflow Maturity Index (WMI) introduces a new, quantitative way to understand what drives successful usage on Zerve by focusing on how users build and evolve their data workflows rather than how much activity they generate.
Using real Zerve application event data, this project defines workflow maturity as a combination of reproducibility, iteration depth, workflow structure, and reuse behavior. These signals are engineered into a single interpretable metric—the Workflow Maturity Index—that captures how users progress from early experimentation to disciplined, production-ready workflows.
The analysis evaluates whether workflow maturity—especially in a user’s early lifecycle—predicts long-term success outcomes such as sustained engagement, continued activity over time, and adoption of advanced platform capabilities like deployments. By comparing users with low, medium, and high WMI scores, the project demonstrates that workflow quality and iterative refinement are stronger predictors of success than raw activity volume or initial complexity.
All analysis and modeling are conducted entirely within Zerve and are fully reproducible, showcasing Zerve’s strengths as an AI-native workspace for exploratory analysis, structured workflows, and production deployment. The project concludes with actionable product insights on how Zerve could use workflow maturity to guide onboarding, power adaptive agent recommendations, and identify high-potential users early in their journey.
